Why I stay micro.

I have been operating my business Nine Blooms for 11 years, I’m leaning into my 12th in this year of 2020.

The year of Covid-19. This season is looking like nothing anyone has ever experienced before, so its at this most wobbly time period that I’m able to go within and really think about what has driven me to stay micro.

When I started on this journey, I made a very clear and conscience decision to remain a one (wo)man band. And I’m living still true to that decision.

Why?

To ensure I keep my quality and service to a premium. To ensure I love on all my clients thoroughly, from first contact to the packing down of their pretties the night of their wedding. To ensure I have a firm grip on what the season will hold each year and to be intentional about the work I procure to avoid burnout (its a real thing in the wedding world y’all)

I take my solo floralpreneur role very seriously. The product and service component is the cornerstone of my business.

Every client remains close to my heart well after the big day. There is a lot of heartfelt emotion that goes into planning a wedding and bringing in the pretty aesthetic of fresh florals really evoke those emotions. That is my fave part. This is what I love to do, this is what I do best.

I like to know what blooms mean the most to you, which ones turn you off, and what colours and textures resonate, all this detail is super important.

You know that inspo image you sent through..? I want to talk about what you liked about it most, so I can get into your brain and unearth all the things that you love.

I’m the gal who turns all our emails, chats and texts and images into the floral designs of your dreams. When you email, I like the fact that you know I’m the only one answering you back, jotting down all your notes and any changes. I’m alongside you at every junction.

It’s me right from your initial contact until last drinks of the night of your reception. I’m sitting in my van outside waiting, so I can sneak in and stealthily pack down your pretties. (if I’m super lucky, you will spot me and I’ll be able to give you a huge congratulatory hug!)

When it comes to the service I receive from other businesses, I personally love the cosy type. I like to be remembered when I call by, or order my coffee or product. I like to continue with conversations sometimes months apart and have my service provider remember my name and ask about my this or that.  It’s a big ask of a supplier, but this is what I like, so that’s what I like to provide for others

This is what I have been able to achieve and healthily maintain over the last 11 seasons.
